Re-tendering a route

The re-tendering action is a manual process only. The Re-Tender action is available only to routes with a Tender Rejected status.

Use the Re-Tender action to tender one or more routes to the carrier on the route who last rejected the route or who was the final tender time-out after sequential tendering. The routes receive a Tendered status. The carrier receives an e-mail tender notification or a notification via EDI, depending on configuration.

From the Carrier Route list page, you can select to re-tender one route or multiple routes. From the Carrier Route detail page or from the Shipment Carrier Route page, you can re-tender the displayed route.

To tender a route:

  1. Select Transportation > Carrier Route.
  2. Click the Search arrow on the search toolbar to display a list of carrier routes.
Use the filter options on the search toolbar to refine the list.
  3. Select one or more routes that you want to re-tender.
  4. Select Actions > Re-Tender.
The status of the route is updated to Tendered. The route changes to Tender Accepted status when the carrier accepts the route. You can set up a carrier to accept a route automatically, in which case, the status changes directly to Tender Accepted. If a carrier rejects the route, the status changes to Tender Rejected if the route is not sequentially tendered to the next carrier in the solution, or the status reverts to Tendered but with a different carrier.

From the Carrier Route detail page, you can click Messages to display the Route Messages dialog and confirm that the route is re-tendered.
