Viewing route map
Use the Route Map tab to view a route map of the shipment origin, destination, all stops for a multi-stop route, and any status/event information pertinent to the progress of the shipment along its route.
The Pickup Location (Shipment From), Delivery Location (Ship To), and other stops along the carrier route are indicated with the numeric values (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.). If you hover over the displayed numbers, you can view information including the scheduled date and time (estimates) for the pickup, delivery, and stops on the route; and the location addresses. For some countries, the state may also be required to properly pinpoint the location on the map.
In addition to the Pickup, Delivery, and Stop locations, each event that occurs on a route displays with an E and a number; for example, E1. The number reflects the sequence in which the events are posted to the status event history database. See Understanding Carrier Route Status Eventsfor information on status events. If you hover over an event icon, the event name, event reason (if specified), the city/state (if specified)/country of the event, and the event date/time (if specified) displays.
Note that the route map functionality requires a separately-licensed subscription to Microsoft Bing Maps service. You must subscribe to Bing Maps and configure the URL as necessary. The display of the pickup and delivery locations in Bing Maps is dependent on the capability within the Bing API.
You can use your mouse to zoom in or out of map view. You can also use the icons located at the top of the map to adjust the map view.
If either of the Pickup or Delivery locations cannot be shown on the map, the error message "The map cannot be displayed due to invalid origin, stop, or destination data" displays.
