Viewing event history
Use the History tab to view the activity history for a shipment. Each time an action or process occurs for a shipment, an entry displays in the history table.
- Date/Time
- The date and time that the event entry was added to the event history.
- User
- The name of the user who initiated the action or event.

Note: System is displayed for any systematic changes that occur; for example, when tender timeout occurs or when a shipment automatically tenders to a carrier.
- Event
- The name of the event that occurred to trigger the entry in the history table. See Understanding Carrier Route Status Eventsfor specific carrier route event information.
- Event Reason
- A reason description may be included within the received status
message. If a reason description is available, the event reason displays.
Carrier Route Event Reasons include:
- Normal Status
- Collect on Delivery Required
- Customer Requested Future Delivery
- Protective Service
- Customs Exam
- Refused by Consignee
- Incorrect Address
- Shipment has been reconsigned
- Returned to Shipper
- Alternate Carrier Delivered
- Held for Full Carrier Load
- Event Date/Time
- The actual date and time that the event occurred. This data and time is not converted to your user time zone but is instead displayed as the "locale" time of the location where the event occurred.
- Event Location
- The city, state/province, and country where the event occurred.
- Stop
- The numeric value of the stop associated with the event.
- Notes
- If the carrier provided additional information, Yes displays in the Notes field. Click Yes to display a pop-up text box containing up to a maximum of 256 characters.
- Delivery Signature
- Name of the person who signed for the goods at the delivery location.
- Exception
- If an exception occurred on the route,
Yes displays in the
Exception field. Click
Yes to display the Exception
pop-up screen. The Exception pop-up screen includes the Exception Code field
describing the exception that occurred, the Quantity field indicating the
number of pieces affected by the exception, the Unit of Measure field
indicating the unit of measure for the exception quantity (for example, cases),
and the Notes text field containing any additional information related to the
exception that the carrier provided. The Exception Codes are:
- All Short
- Damaged
- Entire Shipment Refused
- Overage
- Partial Shipment
- Wrong Product
