Understanding Carrier Route Status Events
TM receives and stores status event data. Status event data identifies what is occurring on a route and to its associated shipments from the time the load leaves the warehouse until it is unloaded at the delivery location. As TM receives route and shipment status updates, the carrier route and shipment status events are also updated. Each status event entry of a route and its associated shipments displays on the History tab of the Carrier Route detail page.
Status events are classified into four categories:
- Pre-Transit indicates that no In-Transit status updates have been received.
- In-Transit indicates an In-Transit status update has been received. The shipment is considered In-Transit if the shipment has left the warehouse but has not been unloaded at the delivery location.
- Delivered indicates the shipment has been unloaded at the delivery location.
- Canceled indicates the shipment has been canceled.
The name of each shipment event status update displays in the Event column on the History tab. This table shows the carrier route events within each of the four categories.
