Tendering options
You use configuration rules to control these tendering options:
- Automated tendering after a
carrier assignment
After rating and routing is completed, TM automatically tenders to the carrier.
- Sequential tendering rules control whether a route is automatically tendered to the next carrier in the ranked carrier list upon rejection or time-out.
- Tender time-out rules and settings control whether a carrier can lose the opportunity to respond to a route after a pre-defined amount of time. The route can then sequentially tender to the next carrier in the list depending on sequential tendering rules.
- Manual tendering after
carrier assignment
Rules established in the configuration rules have the route placed in a status of Carrier Selected, and a user must intervene to tender, select an alternate carrier, or assign a carrier manually.
- Manual tendering rules are set in the configuration rules where you can define specific carriers when you would like to review the carrier selection before tendering takes place, and control when the tendering occurs.
- User intervention can be required in the tendering process by using the Alternate Carrier list where you can select and tender to another option in the ranked carrier list returned through the rating and routing process.
- Carriers can be manually assigned by using the action.
