Configuring operation profiles

You can also use the Address Book to configure operation profiles for your locations. You can configure operation profiles for one or many locations. Operation profiles provide information about the operating days and times of organizations.

Operational information is required if your organization uses rate contracts with transit units equal to distance per hour. For example, if one of your shipments states a pickup date or time that is not within the normal hours of operation of a location, the shipment does not route because Rating and Routing shows the location as closed. Additionally, if your organization is using the Carrier Wait Time functionality, Rating and Routing calculates catalog estimated pickup and delivery times based upon a combination of driver drive and break times, miles per hour driven, miles, and the location hours of operation that come from the operation profile.

Note: This does not control tendering and is separate from the Hours Profiles setup in TM > Admin > Hours Profiles.

Click the Operations Profiles tab at the top of the Address Book List page to view a full or filtered list of all operation profiles. You can also remove, edit, or add new operation profiles.

Note: The hours and days associated with the Default Profile are 24 and 7. This is a system-wide profile. Do not edit the Default Profile.
